Sometimes in the midst of career, ambition, and getting ahead, we lose sight of the simplest pleasures around us. We lose touch with dear friends, forget to take care of ourselves, and simply get caught up in the frenzy.
Try to set aside at least one day a week where you can shut down the computer, get out of the office, and simply breathe. Go to a movie, get lost in a book, or take a walk out in the fresh air; these breaks away from the chaos are not only rejuvenating, but they are sometimes necessary to keep our proper perspective.
