Many things decide whether a movie is successful or not. Box office results are one determinant factor. If no one pays to see your movie, then it might be a sign that you need a different hobby. But nothing give a movie more pride than winning one of those little golden statuettes.
Many people don’t like watching the Oscars and that’s mainly because the show lasts for more than three hours. However, I like watching the Oscars every year. I’m ecstatic when my favorite movies and stars get recognition; and I get upset when my faves are overlooked — and less-deserving actors, movies or directors run off with the award. Plus, I enjoy standup comedy, which is why I always look forward to hearing the host’s jokes an opening monologue.
On January 22nd, Hollywood is going to announce the Oscar nominees, so I figured I’d come up with my own list of who and what I think deserve to get nominated. These are just some of the top popular categories:
