YSN member dfoxwortasks: I am looking into purchasing a Smoothie King franchise. Are there any comments or experience regarding this business?
Jen responds: Have you checked with the International Franchise Association? Their web site is www.franchise.org. You might also want to check FranData, it’s the leading research company in the industry and they can get you any corporate documents, like UFOCs (Uniform Franchise Offering Circulars) or other research that may be publicly available. Also, you may want to ask Aculed on YSN. I know he’s spent some time looking at smoothie chains over the past few years, and he’s pretty knowledgeable about the franchise business in general.
