Why We Love It: All pieces are created in our studio in Miami, Florida. In addition to our artwork, we teach classes and private lessons throughout the South Florida area. Our current roster includes 10 different projects to choose from. We also have 2 lines of licensed merchandise for mosaic artists : “I break for Mosaics” and “Extraordinary Mosaicist.” Both lines features t-shirts, hoodies, stationery, clock, apron, hats, and more!
We are best known for: Mosaic Madness is a lifestyle company offering a selection of one-of-a-kind mosaic art inspired by life and perfect for every home, garden and special occasion. The company also offers individualized mosaic classes, personally taught by the company’s founding artist, Julie Galvin Weilbacher. Julie has been designing fine mosaic creations for ten years and has a passion for sharing her love of mosaics with others.
Major Milestones: Mosaic Madness, founded in 1998, celebrates 10 years in business this year (2008).
What most don’t know about us is: We use ceramic tile, stained glass, vitreous tile, plates, mugs, cups, bowls, buttons, beads, beer bottle caps, wire, shells, anything else we can get our hands on. Sometimes we use broken plates which would otherwise only be suitable for throwing away. The packaging for our necklaces and mini art is recycled cardboard.
