Where do you feel most peaceful?
In recent years, it seems that stress has become a common part of both work and personal lives around the world. Life has become so fast paced that it is easy to forget that we are to live for this moment and not for what was in the past or what is in the future. At young ages, we are told to prepare for the future, and thus, we completely ignore the here and now.
When we find ourselves at our limits with stress, it is time to sit back and examine what we are here on Earth to do. Each one of us is born with a certain element that makes us relaxed. A few years back, I found that my element is water. Whether it is a stream, lake, pond, or ocean, I am at peace when I am near water. This is where I find my inner thoughts. It is then that I can rearrange those thoughts and release the old, negative thoughts that hold me back.
Each one of us has an element, or a place that makes us feel at peace with ourselves. It is at this moment when we can all renew ourselves and walk away with a sense of understanding of who we are and why we are here on earth. The next time you feel the stress is too high, sit back and take a look at what your element is. Gather your thoughts and your stress relief will follow.
